jamendo is a new model for artists to promote, publish, and be paid for their music.

On jamendo, the artists distribute their music under Creative Commons licenses. In a nutshell, they allow you to download, remix and share their music freely. It's a "Some rights reserved" agreement, perfectly suited for the new century.

These new rules make jamendo able to use the new powerful means of digital distribution like Peer-to-Peer networks such as BitTorrent or eMule to legally distribute albums at near-zero cost.

jamendo users can discover and share albums, but also review them or start a discussion on the forums. Albums are democratically rated based on the visitors reviews. If they fancy an artist they can support him by making a donation.

jamendo is the only platform that joins together :

A legal framework protecting the artists (thanks to the Creative Commons licenses).

Free, simple and quick access to the music, for everyone.

The use of the lastest Peer-to-Peer technologies

The possibility of making direct donations to the artists.

An adaptive music recommendation system based on iRATE to help listeners discover new artists based on their tastes and on other criterias such as their location.

For the public

Do you want to discover new talents? Do you want to listen to creative artists?

On jamendo you can freely download music from all genres, write your own reviews, and participate in community forum discussions.

You may not like every single album on jamendo, but our music recommendation system will help you find music to suit your tastes. We can also help you to find local artists in your area and inform you of live concert events.

There are then many ways to support the artists you like : you can make them a donation, spread the word about them, put their music on your blog, help us share their albums on P2P? networks, ....

For Writers and Musicians

Are you creative? Do you want your music to be listened to by a wider audience?

jamendo brings the artists back on stage. Music is done by artists for the public and now is the time to get rid of exclusive intermediaries.

Thanks to the new technologies and the Creative Commons licenses, it is now possible for artists to distribute their music online while protecting their rights. jamendo also gives an opportunity for talented artists to be rewarded in a fair way by their audience.

And this is just a glimpse of what is possible. For more information, go to our artist page : why and how to join us ?

Unloading ALSA sound driver modules: snd-intel8x0 snd-intel8x0m snd-ac97-codec snd-pcm-oss snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm snd-timer snd-page-alloc.

e depois de configurar, um
lsmod | grep snd
me mostrava os módulos que foram carregados.

jedi:/home/alele# lsmod | grep snd
snd_intel8x0 34016 0
snd_ac97_codec 83960 1 snd_intel8x0
snd_pcm_oss 54848 0
snd_mixer_oss 19968 1 snd_pcm_oss
snd_pcm 93416 3 snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss
snd_timer 24644 1 snd_pcm
snd 56260 6 snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer
soundcore 9696 1 snd
snd_page_alloc 9860 2 snd_intel8x0,snd_pcm

grep -R 8x0m *
em /etc e obtive:

discover.d/alsa-base:# skip snd-intel8x0m
hotplug/blacklist.d/alsa-base:# snd-intel8x0m
modprobe.d/alsa-base:options snd-intel8x0m index=-2
modules.conf:options snd-intel8x0m index=-2
modutils/alsa-base:options snd-intel8x0m index=-2
